The board will regulates and controls the system of Secondary education in Andhra Pradesh State by conducting The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Examination which is also known as 10th Board Exams. Procedure for AP SSC 10th Class Board Exams:
10th class or SSC examinations are conducted at the state level by the state government boards of education and 10th class exams are conducted at the National level by the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education). 10th Class examinations are conducted every year in the month of March/April.Exams schedule is declared by the AP board on one month before the exam. The board will announce the results with grade and make available to the students in the month of May/June. 10th board exam syllabus may differ for different education boards.

The main objective of AP board is to provide quality and better education facilities to the students from all the sections of the society. As a result so many students will appear for the board exams on every year and the number is increasing year by year. The board is responsible for declaration of the results and the board will issue the Secondary School Certificate to the qualified candidates in the Board exams and board will conduct the supplementary examinations to the unsuccessful candidates in the month of June.
