TDP Government has to take final decided to locate the capital city in a central place of the state, and it has decided to develop 3 mega cities and 14 smart cities to boost development in the new born Andhra Pradesh state. Nearly 50 per cent of the demonstrations received by the committee favored Vijayawada-Guntur region is the best place but according to the official statement but the final decision was taken after a complete study of prevailing conditions, prospective and economic growth strategies of each district. As Andhra Pradesh is reorganized under Act 2014, which came into force on March 1, 2014, providing for the reorganization of the existing state of Andhra Pradesh. According to the official information from government, the state government of AP is going to decentralize the power and equally distributed to every district so that justice will come to every district and every city.

Mean while on Wednesday, Assembly has witnessed the discussion between ruling TD and opposition YSR Congress members traded charges on the issue of the capital city leading to suspension of the House for the day. But MrJagan Mohan Reddy reminded that in July 1953, the Assembly had discussed the capital city subject for five days when the former Andhra state was carved out but that was not happened on this time but the government has to take finial decision.
