Now it has an extensive campus in 110 acres and it became a constituent of the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University on 02-10-1972 through an act of legislature along with other siblings of institutions under the control of the then Director of Technical Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh. Previously, it was affiliated to Andhra University in 2003 the college has become autonomous. JNTUK affiliated College is governed by the rules and guidelines provided by the university from time to time. Entire academic activities in the college are overseen by the highest body called College Academic Council (CGC) and day-to-day activities of the college are approved by budgetary allocation from the University fund. the university official website jntuk.edu.in

JNTUK Post graduation courses:

post-graduate courses were introduced in 1971, now it is providing admission in various departments such as MBA, MCA, M.Tech, master degree in Pharmacy courses etc. JNTUK College provides hostel accommodation for nearly 400 boys and 300 girls. Other facilities on the campus include dispensary, bank, post-office, guesthouse, and play fields.

Affiliations: College has a placement and training cell which is providing training to the students and every year a good number of students getting benefit in-securing job in reputed organizations. Further, due to rapid development that has gone by in the field of Technical Education in Andhra Pradesh, about 165 Engineering Colleges were affiliated to the J.N.T. Kakinada University out of which this college is entrusted with the responsibility of supervision the examinations in 165 Colleges in this zone in the ability of a Nodal Centre.
